HIIT Training with indoor cycling

HIIT Training, otherwise known as High Intensity Interval Training, is a cardio training method that helps performance. In addition to helping performance, it also does a GREAT job of burning fat! With this workout you alternate short bursts of high intensity intervals with recovery periods at a slower speed. Athletes use this training to improve performance and the average exerciser uses it to burn lots of calories while improving speed and endurance. During a typical HIIT workout we will recover for twice as long as the duration of the speed interval. So, in a fast paced, high energy cycling class you could do 20-30 second sprints with 40-60 second recovery on a moderate hill in between them.
